At some time in the past, I don't recall when, I used to
go to Qrz or one of the others? and you could look up all
the amateure in town, I don't know if it worked for large cities
but I live in a samll town, and with a 'clic' you could locate ever
operator here. I tried to do that again, tonight and I am missing
something, cause I could not do the same thing. Have I just lost

On the QRZ main page, go to the "Name lookup" way down on the left
hand column. Type in your zip code and hit enter.
