A late Summer's eve.
Old equipment is turned on.
The tubes warm the shack.

The mind of a Ham, and the soul of a poet.

Excellent for visualization.

Bravo!

Absolutely.

I grew up in NE Ohio and there was always something special about being in
my "shack" with some hot coccoa watching the snow fall and tuning 80 meters.

Steve sips hot coccoa,
while tuning 80 meters.
Watching the snow fall.

It is cold outside
My radio heats the shack
Electrons dancing

- Mike KB3EIA -

I think I'm going to compile these things.

[alex@homer alex]$ cat haiku.c

It is cold outside
My radio heats the shack
Electrons dancing
[alex@homer alex]$ cc haiku.c
haiku.c:2: error: parse error before "is"

it does not work....

There are two rules for success in life:
Rule 1: Don't tell people everything you know.

How is that Alex?
It has the five seven five
Something else I am missing?

- Mike KB3EIA -

Eric Snyder September 15th 04 09:37 AM

I think Alex is saying that the word phrase "it is", is not correct.
I do not understand it either. Perhaps Alex can explain the error in
more detail.

as to my previous Haiku, I think this one works better;

Watching the snow fall,
while listening on 80,
Steve sips his coccoa.

Eric N7DLV

Here is another;

Rainy summer day.
Unable to do yard work,
I turn on the rig.

Eric N7DLV

This is getting kind of fun! Anyone else want to try writing some Ham
Haiku? I also would like some input from Japanese Amatuer Radio
Operators.

KB3EIA stated that he was going to "compile" these -- that is what I did, I
ran it thru a C compilier --
(It was a real slow day at work yesterday)....
