Default IARN EMERGENCY TRAFFIC ACTIVATION LEVELS



LEVEL I - Emergency and health and welfare traffic for the affected
area(s) is being E-MAILED to plus a 24 hour IARN
AMTOR mail box on 14.127 MHz. LSB, SEL call KMAN.

LEVEL II - Same as Level I plus live nets on 14.275 MHz. USB.
Also IARN HF bulletins are now on 14.272 MHz. USB; 3.977 MHz. LSB; and
3.890 MHz. AM. (Go to

information.

LEVEL III - Same as Level II plus deployment of volunteer radio
operators with radio equipment and portable generators to the affected
area(s) to hand carry all accumulated network traffic plus set up
amateur radio stations in public places and/or shelters to solicit
outgoing traffic. Radio jump team volunteer operators should pre-
register by calling IARN headquarters at 207 495 2215. See

Note: Radio amateurs and short wave listeners should monitor 14.272
MHz. USB; 3.977 MHz. LSB; and 3.890 MHz. AM. Call your local radio
and/or T.V. stations and tell them what you and amateur radio are
doing. Give them your telephone number and your E-MAIL address
(or IARN ) for the gathering of emergency and health
and welfare traffic for the affected area(s).
