Subject: Re Freeband DX, Why Don't Hams Mind Their Own Business?

Why don't you tight ass hams keep your nose out of other peoples radio
hobbies? Yes, I am a freeband high-power DXer and I use ham radio gear for
my hobby as do many others like me.

Glad somebody noiticed. I've been working on the abs a lot, but the
crunches and the butt tightening exercises have really paid off.

I use the abandoned frequencies below CB channel 1 and above 40. There are
also frequencies on the 6 mhz band, and above 30 mhz free for the taking.
Before you closed minded hams go nuts let me give you an analogy, it is
like camping on a piece of abandoned land no one is using.

There are no abandoned frequencies.

Those frequencies are assigned to Land Mobile, Aviation, Television Remote
and others.

Who is it hurting? Many laws are on the books that are not enforced. Like
jaywalking and going 36mph in a 35 mph zone. Just because we are not
sheople who follow "laws" blindly you hams get all bent out of shape.

It hurts those who can't use thier ASSIGNED frequencies because selfish,
scumbag thieves have pre-empted thier use of them. You and other scumbags like
you are absolutely no different than punks who steal cars or write bad checks.

If they (FCC) are not enforcing their rules and no one cares about it why
do stuck up HAMS care? What 11M DXers do is not hurting your use of ham
bands, you should worry more about cleaning up your own bands.

Ahhhhh...but the FCC IS enforcing those rules and people ARE being held
liable for thier transgressions.

And I care for the same reason I don't want some jerk going down my
residential street at 65MPH...Just because it's "not in use" at this second
doesn't mean it's not needed for it's intended use. Your reckless behaviour
DOES impact me, whether you care to acknowledge it or not.

If you're "freebanding", you're breaking the law. I hope an FCC official
shows up on your front porch with US Marshals in tow. You deserve it.

Steve, K4YZ
