Actually there may be a ham radio angle in this. This implies
that, in a digital messaging system like packet or amtor
or such, more error correction should be applied to the
first and last letters of words, and less spent on the
letters in the middle. Thus increasing thruput under
adverse conditions. Or apply a compression scheme on
the middle letters (spend more resources to relay the
letters used in the middle of words, and less resources
on the order of those letters that make up the middle
of words). So when things get noisy the first thing that
gives out is the correct order of the middle letters
of words.

If this was applied just to operator-to-operator chatter perhaps, but in a
"messaging system" it would be a poor way to increase throughput.

All that aside, digital messaging systems don't handle words, they handle
characters, and a space is just another character in the data stream.

What is TRULY amazing is that some goofball ham
someplace actually took the time and effort to write
this. Good glub do we ever need the old 14.313
and 3.894.5 back to act as a knucklehead magnet
for all these toilet ticks once again!

Guess you missed the part where it said it was a "forward".

That's OK...I don't expect Anonymous Coward posters to actually
pay attention to what's going on.
