Commandeer Buzzard:

Still in training to be a "master of the personal attack", huh? Puzzled
why it inspires disgust rather that respect?

My post is a statement of fact--no attack, it would only feel like that
to someone who had some personal interests in mind...

Well, my 7 yr. old lass made five QSO's today during Kid's Day, two
of them were CW contacts. So QSL cards go out today for the
"young'un" who managed to practice enough over the past few weeks to
pound out my call, her name, favorite color, age, QTH and wrap it up
with a not-too-shabby 73. (I helped w/her copy tho.)

I couldn't have asked for a better Father's Day gift.

Wonder why we aren't supprised that top-posting johnnyboy would find a
way to attempt to discredit a ham with his 7 year old enjoying radio.
Johnnyboy, with the way you seem to hate ham radio and those who
participate, why don't you just turn in your license and go back to
the 'freeband'?

If you want respect, say or do something that deserves respect.

commandeer buzz off:

It pains me to even acknowledge you--but I pity you and your juvenile
attempts at gaining attention... even to the point of provoking negative
acknowledgements...

That's your choice, maybe you shouldn't try things that pain you, like
ham radio.

Let's see now, a ham post how he had fun with his 7 year old operating
ham radio at kids day, and all you can come up with is how millions of
children access the Internet, how ham radio pales to the Internet
without barriers as if to say his child must be stupid to even think of
ham radio which would require learning something to obtain a license.

Talk about negative, all you can do is run down ham radio, you jump at
any opportunity to slam ham radio and how it poses barriers to anyone
who might be interested. Just go back to you cb johnnyboy, there aren't
any barriers there past knowing how to turn a cb radio on, which just
might be a 'barrier' to you.
