It's not likely to get fixed by itself. It could be an error at either

the
FCC or the VEC. Call both.


Thanks... I called the FCC and the paperwork was filed electronically. The
personal I spoke with at the FCC did mention a "modification" that she
though had to be filed after the original Tech application was submitted.
I'm not sure if this is the case, but I'm in process of contacting the VEC.


I think that what may have happened is that since you're a totally new
licensee, they may have issued the Tech as the first action, then input
the
Extra as an upgrade (which FCC calls a modification). In that case,
the licenses could arrive days or even weeks apart.

This raises a question about "new licenses" numbers. If in Design Guy's
case,
FCC first issued a Tech and then modified it to Extra, even though he
passed
all four elements at one go, the numbers may show his new license as
Tech
rather than Extra.

I wonder how many others who went straight to General or Extra have
been classified that way.
