I just passed all exams (up through Extra) this past weekend, and my paperwork was submitted to the FCC. After checking the FCC database, I see that I have been issued a Technician license and callsign. I'm surprised it was issued so quickly, but more surprised that a Tech license/call was issued instead of Amateur Extra. Should I call the FCC # on the CSCE form or wait a few days and see if it gets "fixed" in the database? Did you also pass the code? If not, all that they will issue is a Technician no matter how many writtens you've passed. If you did pass the code, you should contact the VE team that administered the test and quite possibly the VEC as someone did not enter it correctly. You should contact them immediately. The FCC has no way to correct the situation until the VEC submits the proper entry. Dee D. Flint, N8UZE Yes, I passed the code and all written exams (elements 1, 2, 3 and 4). I did contact the VEC and he's on the case ![]() I'll post any follow-up info I receive back under this thread. |
