BTW, it's getting close to my off-season so that means vacation time.
I make my way to Jacksonville (NC) every now and then. I haven't taken
I-40 for almost 20 years -- I really hated Knoxville. Has it changed
since then? Anyone taken that drive recently? And isn't that part of
the old Route 66?

Dunno. I always get to Gnashville and turn West. Welp, almost always
except when I have to attend meeting in Ashville.
