No...The United States Army Sniper School did.

Actually, it dates all the way back to the Revolutionary War. The
phrase was used to encourage economic use of ammunition since lead and
gunpowder were always in short supply, and because it took so long to
reload; i.e, it was necessary to make every shot count. No doubt that
precision shooting was important, but sniping per-se was of tertiary
importance to economy and to the guerrilla tactics used by Americans
during the war.

In the Robeson Dictionary, getting it wrong constitutes a "lie." And
why wouldn't he have enlightened us with the U.S. Marine Corps Sniper
School info? Further, what does Steve know of the U.S. Army Sniper
School?

It was further associated with the Marine Corps after the Battle
of the Belleau Wood when US Marine infantrymen laid waste to hordes of
attacking germans with withering rifle fire.

......"withering rifle fire"? Very "Clancyesque", Dudly.

I haven't read Clancy, but I've been acused of reading a 1950's copy of
"This is the Air Force." Probably the copy that Steve had to read when
he joined the Civil Air Patrol.

The concept of "One Shot One Kill" is still the principle
technique taught to all Marine recruits.

More horse**** from Gunny Dudly. One of the reasons the 5.56mm round
was chosen is because military experts learned that merely wounding an
enemy combatant had more benefits than killing the poor *******. One
wounded soldier takes one or two more soldiers off the front line to
carry him back. It also depletes the enemy's resources and ties up
their supply lines. It drains the morale of both the soldiers and the
enemy's civilian population. Etc, etc. And if the soldier's position
is overrun then he can be captured and interrogated, something you
can't do if he's dead.

All that stuff you would have learned if you had graduated beyond the
yellow footsteps. But you didn't.

He probably washed out somewhere between the underwear/sock issue and

No, that's NOT all it takes.

no real skill at all is needed

Sure there is.

That's why hundreds of people wind up wounded or killed by thier

have to do.

"their"

And for a shotgun, the "point and shoot" tactic works pretty well.

And in that we have even MORE evidence that your claims of
military service are BOGUS!

Obviously you have never fired an APERS round out of an M-203. The
directions are really simple:

1. Point.
2. Shoot.
3. Rub your bruised shoulder while watching the people in front of you
bleed profusely.

It's incomprehensible to think that you never fired one after 18 years
in the Corp (and, of course, seven hostile actions). "And in that we
have even MORE evidence that your claims of military service are
BOGUS!"

In Steve's defense, he did get some sand in his eye. Which one? He
never did say and it's not open for discussion.

At the very least. Hope he enjoys life on Mike's BBS where he doesn't

I just hope he chooses to leave (with the rest that don't want to

Happens alla time in Steve's fantasy world.

It was further associated with the Marine Corps after the Battle
of the Belleau Wood when US Marine infantrymen laid waste to hordes of
attacking germans with withering rifle fire.

Though I don't read Clancy, he did call in to the Liddy show and came
off like an idiot. No wonder Steve tries to emulate Clancey.

The FACTS are that you do not posses the requisite skills to carry
out your THREAT.

I hadn't considered that. By looking at his photo on QRZed, he is much
larger than a squirrel, but does have the full cheeks.

God, where the Bible lies, distance to the moon, how the tests have
gotten easier, why a Morse Code Test would be a barrier to Morse Code
use, why they can't get a helium balloon off the ground, the amateur
radio service during WWII, etc, etc, etc,.

I'm gonna miss them. Hi!

You left out the 143 tellings of what the U.S. Army used at ADA a half
century ago, numerous recountings of Len Anderson having passed an exam
for the First Phone a half century ago, various tales of how many houses
and cars Len has and what things he paid *CASH* for.

Dave K8MN

Wrong again. Len will not be invited to Mike's BBS for the retelling
of ADA comms.

Please refer to the portion reading, "the rest that don't want to
discuss any issue". Most of Len's rants are not discussions of issues.

In your opinion

he does get a bit verbose and rambling but that is simply a matter of
style

But maybe after you guys huddle on Mike's BBS for a while and figure
out how far it is to the moon, Jim can report back here.

I haven't written anything about going anywhere.

the subject was the content of the new BBS and len myself and Brain
are not likely to receive invations

therefore the content you are whining about will not be there dispite
your claims to the contary

in the sprit of being civil i cut the rest of the paragraph

I do find it interesting that you and Mark have found so much common ground.

why?

we are NoCoders and that bring a ceertain openess in thought that
ProCoders don't have with us

we do disagree on issues and nuance even at times on the facts, you
just stand so far away from us we seem to agree on everything

we have even disagred over our exact opinion of YOU

you should have caught that

I tell you seeing the inability of some of the procoders to see what
is written in front of them I am forced to wonder if too much code use
does not cause brain damge to some folks

In your opinion

No, Mark, not in my opinion. The vast majority of Len Anderson's posts
are simply anti-morse use/testing, anti-amateur radio, anti-ARRL. If
you want opinion, my opinion is that Len is horse's patoot.

he does get a bit verbose and rambling but that is simply a matter of
style

Style? When did Len develop style? Len is windy, pontificating and
unpleasant. Some style.

But maybe after you guys huddle on Mike's BBS for a while and figure
out how far it is to the moon, Jim can report back here.

I haven't written anything about going anywhere. If I haven't left over
your playing red-hatted monkey and haven't left over Len's stream of
conciousness rants, Colonel Mark's mindless drivel and Roger Wiseman's
filth aren't likely to result in my departure.

the subject was the content of the new BBS and len myself and Brain
are not likely to receive invations

I think you could bank on not receiving an invitation. You are fouling
the newsgroup nearly as much as sociopath Roger Wiseman. Brian alone was
responsible for the departure of Ed Hare. Len routinely insulted Ed as
well as Jon Bloom. The subject, according to the headers is still
"Lennie Reveals True Identity of Dudly...and It Is HE!".

therefore the content you are whining about will not be there dispite
your claims to the contary

I didn't make any claims to the contrary, Colonel. I'm quite certain
that Len's stuff would not be there.

in the sprit of being civil i cut the rest of the paragraph

In the spirit of being accurate, I've re-inserted it.

I do find it interesting that you and Mark have found so much common ground.

why?

Brian is willing to lower his standards to a great extent if he finds
someone who is against morse testing. In this case, you represent the
lowered standards.

we are NoCoders and that bring a ceertain openess in thought that
ProCoders don't have with us

You are not only a no-code-test advocate, you are a no-can-do-coder.

we do disagree on issues and nuance even at times on the facts, you
just stand so far away from us we seem to agree on everything

I'm sure you'll understand that I'm being quite sincere when I write
that I prefer to stand very, very far away from a number of NCTA folks.
You are high on that list. You have so many issues that I'd want to
stand far away from you if you were *for* code testing.

we have even disagred over our exact opinion of YOU

You may hold any opinion you like, even if you are short on facts.

you should have caught that

I tell you seeing the inability of some of the procoders to see what
is written in front of them I am forced to wonder if too much code use
does not cause brain damge to some folks

What accounts for your damage, Colonel? We know darn well that it
wasn't from the use of morse code.

We're two of a handful of people on RRAP who have received veiled
threats. I don't like bullying behavio[u]r, and neither does Mark.
Gosh, whe have so much in common.
