There currently are 14 active beacons in the NCDXF/IARU system all on 14.1MHz, and most have companion beacons on 18.11, 21.15, 24.93. and 28.2MHz. The 15th station (VR2B) is rumored down due to a lightning strike. IIRC you can find their schedule at the NCDXF web site. 73, de Hans, K0HB well then... would those in the USA like to explain why I heard at least one W4 blasting out over 14100 during last weekends contest ? It was my understanding that anyone with intelligence was requested to steer clear of 14100 in the hope of everyones benefit to observe which way the propogation is going (including packet radio operators) with the blatant and largely bull-in-china-shop behaviour of some cw operators last weekend, i'm surprised that even 14100 was blasted to bits let alone any other frequency where those with less than 10watts werent given a chance to get a word in. |
