I posted a quiz a while back avoiding 14.100 MHz
Few knew the answer -- one sed why not -- it is in the CW portion. I have noted during a CW contest - contesters frequently think the frequency is clear and jump on it. In a nut shell -- many newbies and OT's as well -- don't have a clue as to what the NCDXF/IARU Beacon system is. FYI: See URL: http://www.ncdxf.org/Beacon/intro.html -- CL -- I doubt, therefore I might be ! Someone wrote well then... would those in the USA like to explain why I heard at least one W4 blasting out over 14100 during last weekends contest ? It was my understanding that anyone with intelligence was requested to steer clear of 14100 in the hope of everyones benefit to observe which way the propogation is going (including packet radio operators) with the blatant and largely bull-in-china-shop behaviour of some cw operators last weekend, i'm surprised that even 14100 was blasted to bits let alone any other frequency where those with less than 10watts werent given a chance to get a word in. |
