now a days the new comers are not like we used to
be. The new hams today are educated by using Cobra's and kickers, and all
the assorted crap that goes along with that mindset.

I am a new ham, my ham educatiion did not come from CB's and kickers. I grabbed a Gordon West book, sat down and started reading. I am currently a technician class operator and working on upgrading to General and then Extra. If the FCC does drop the code, so what I'm still learning CW anyway.
