The 'Great Experiment of Democracy' is failing.
For forefathers did not count on the determination
the corrupting influences would demonstrate in
weakening their ideals. It is unfortunate.

Lowest common denominator election process. Almost
inevitable, with manipulative mass media psychology.
This problem has been expounded upon at great length.

The value of personal wealth was overemphasized, I think.
Prestige should have been weighted more heavily.
Ben Franklin had a lot to say about that.

It *will* be interesting to see what happens in Lebanon.
I am in harmony with your distaste of the Islamic Theocracies.
