That's not true. GMRS is UHF but completly different frequencies.

Actually, it *is* true.

The "UHF CB" frequencies were part of the old "Class A" CB. Class A was
renamed GMRS. A license is required now, just as it was back in the old
days.


FYI...."CB" in Australia/UK is on 476Mhz....
Their FRS radios are called PMR's and are on 446Mhz....what a mess
