Has anyone info on when the new trunking system on 150-160 MHz will be
in operation?

It's been in operation for a while now......still doing testing but it
is operational. It is a DIGITAL system also in case you didn't know
that. The systems is called STARS. You'll still here plenty on the
conventional channels.....these I mean

It is P25 trunking and the APCO P25 voice can be copied with APCO P25
capable scanners even when the conventional stuff goes away. Some of the
sites have already been active for some time.
