Default Scanner recommendations ?

I need to get the wife a new scanner for Christmas. What's my best
bang for the buck in the $200.00 range ?

reasearch I've bought the Bearcat BC246T, Now I just have to learn how
to programit *L*

When I bought my first one a few years ago the city had just gone to a
trunked system here. I had a Pro-95 that I had figured out how to use. The
BC246T was like learning all over again. It's simple once you do it, but it
was a PITA at first. There used to be a Yahoo group for them, probably still
is. Was a LOT of help for me.

Thanks for the heads up on the programming, I did some research and
figgured programming it would be a chore. I'm a network engineer so
hopefully I'll get it running in a couple days.
