I have been a scanning hobbyist now for years 25 to be specific
(crystals in the ole regency 8 channel). This is a fantastic hobby welcome aboard. Things are very exciting in the hobby and it keeps getting better. Cellulars?? One word. Boring. Yes there is some cellular activity but not much as most have moved to digital. Literally you get maybe two to three hits over the spectrum as compared to 10 years ago when you would get hundreds. Cellulars aside, there is soooooo much to be heard. My advice, take your scanner and search from 0 to how ever high it goes. Do this first before plugging in any channels and just test the waters. Its amazing what can be heard out there. Good luck. I curious as to if its still possible. For what I understand is not illegal in Canada unless contents of the com are revealed. Isn't it that most of phones in this days work on digital networks out of scanners reach ?? Im sure this question has been asked many times before but since Im new, I couldn't find recent material on this. Comments will be apprecciated. |
