The BC9000XLT audio quality is good. The radio has a "high cut"
audio filter key which I don't use.

Like just about every other scanner with a top, bottom, or
side mounted speaker, the best audio is obainted by using an
external speaker pointed at your face.

I miss the old style scanners which contained a speaker
mounted in the front panel and which pointed directly at
the user instead of at the floor or ceiling. :-)
