Thanks, Bob and Frank. How about the audio quality? I find the 2045 very acceptable. The BC9000XLT audio quality is good. The radio has a "high cut" audio filter key which I don't use. Like just about every other scanner with a top, bottom, or side mounted speaker, the best audio is obainted by using an external speaker pointed at your face.
