I have been using the glass mounted one from Radio Shack for some time. I
have one on my car as well as my motorhome. They have worked fine without any problems. "Richard G Amirault" wrote in message ... You don't say if you want another mag mount or not (picking up the magnet and drying off the bottom occasionally helps stop the 'rust' problem) I just bought a mag mount scanner antenna (Antenna Specialists I think), but for a *long* time I used a splitter hooked to the broadcast AM/FM radio antenna lead. Worked fine but this car is impossible to reach the back of the radio in the dash :-( Richard in Boston, MA,USA John wrote: : I'm in search of a scanner antenna to mount on my Ford Explorer.
