Default Taiwan police will even program reporters' scanners

Here in Taiwan, a news reporter told me they take their receivers to
the National Police Bureau to have the police frequencies (485... Mhz)
recorded into the memories as a convenience to scanning. Sure they
might leave out some frequencies, but there is nothing stopping
reporters from adding them too.

This is in contrast to the otherwise inaccessibility of such frequency
lists, or even vague ranges, to the public thru official routes.
