Yes you can just T them but you may loose some signal in the T connector.
The losses will be minimal if at all. A duplexer is for connecting 2 transmitters to 1 antenna but serves no purpose for receivers. "Chris" wrote in message ... Hello to the group. I have just purchased a Uniden 796D for home use and need your valuable input. I've just purchased an Antenex 3db 800 meg omni-directional base antenna, that I plan on installing on my roof, for optimum reception (and Belden 9913 cable as well). I already have a VHF/UHF base antenna up on the roof and I would like to run both antennas to the 796D. Can I get by with just using a T-connector for both antennas or do I need to go with some kind of duplexer? If any of you have done something like this, I would like to hear your ideas. Thank You, Chris |
