Hi, I guess I will be the new kid on the
block for a while. Just bought on ebay a
Uniden BC250D ... used indoors for a week for
$230. I think I made a good purchase. ANY
WAY ...

I am not completely new to scanners. Had
one, several times in the past, but now
things are changing .. there is this trunking
going on. And then software for the
scanners, to load saved stations I think ...
and then digital .. NOT ONLY THAT .. but my
cellphone stuff has been removed, before I
learned how to modify them. Can you even
modify scanners if they are digital ?? Or if
they have digital capabilities do I need them
??

I am a gadget nut, so I had to have the
digital .. had to have the software capable
.... I do think the trunking was necessary,
but the rest ?? I don't know. ALSO, liked
the color of the display .. actually I have
only seen one picture of the scanner, it
hasn't been shipped to me yet. I am like a
kid at Christmas.

Any help or pointers would be greatly
appreciated. Or if you are a rambler or a
bragger or want to tell me what a great
choice I made, I would love to hear it all.
BY THE WAY ... I am in Deltona, Florida ..
Volusia County. Guess mostly I need to find
the software ?? Or do I need a card first ?
and if someone is from around here and would
like to modify the scanner for me .. I would
sure appreciate it.

Basically .. I am on the computer day and
night and not much of a TV watcher. Used to
listen to my old beat up scanner while I
worked on the computer - I design websites.
Then one day, this goes way back .. they
started the trunking thing .. . I never
invested in another one until today. First I
looked at everyone I could find but decided
on this .. I HOPE I DIDN'T MAKE A MISTAKE. I
should have checked here first maybe .. but I
am impulsive.
