Default Grove Omni-II antenna

How does this antenna compare (for full coverage) compared to a low-band
discone or scantenna?

Low band coverage is pretty good;
Mt 1/4 wave Radio Shack antenna outperforms it on VHF and UHF.

The antenna secret is the total amount of capture area. Measure each
[+] element then total. Compare the total to each antenna. The antenna
with the HIGHEST capture area should out receive any of the others IF
the elements are cut for the correct freq. The Omni-2 should be 56" +
9" = 65" This of course is not exact but you can get the picture. Some
ant's at: www.bncantenna.com
