Depends on how it does the reset. Many radios have a key combination that
you push while turning on the power, which forces the CPU to reinitialize
itself, and has been known to bring "dead" radios back to life. Of course,
in this case it appears that you didn't have any power getting to the radio,
so a reset wouldn't have had any effect. Should have mentioned that as your
obvious first check, but it slipped my mind (bad clutch!). Glad you got it
working.
