i have an old uniden bearcat scanner with 50 channels and i have a

time keeping up with what i have (i have to write it all down on a
piece of paper) a 1000 channel model would drive me nutz i think.

what do ppl do with all of them?

is there some ulterior (wink-wink, nudge-nudge...) purpose to it

all
such as entering all the new cordless phone freqs or something

along
that line?

Man your missing a lot of very interesting comms with just 50

channels.
I have over 10,000 channels avilable to me in all my scanners and I

still could use a couple more scanner. And not ONE channel for
Police/Fire stuff.

yeh i find the police/fire stuff pretty boring. those guys aren't my
"heroes".
i'd rather listen to some flaky security company dispatcher or a wired
up tow truck driver.
sorry to say, ham ops are the most boring of all to me. they spend all
that money on radios and what do they talk about when they operate?
radios.
i'd be interested to know more about satellite listening, tho.
