Default Scanner programs for the Computer.

By any chance has anyone come across any programs that are downloadable for
the computer that will in affect/effect be able to scan the city and their
frequencies to hear ambulance and etc...

I came across one awhile back, but had to reformat the computer, thus
loosing this software.

I am able to with winamp listen to frequencies in the city, but not able to
program my own frequencies if that makes any sense at all.

thanks well in advance
