I've used the clip perhaps a dozen times in a couple of years of owning the radio, and it's about to break--right at the topmost row of molded dimples. Still in one piece for now, but definitely not trustworthy. I love this radio and definitely would have paid $5 or $10 more for it to have included a real belt clip. [...] I can't upload images to this newsgroup, so here's the link to what I did: http://www.hogger.com/scanner/ I hope this helps. I appreciate that and will keep it in my back pocket if I can't find another solution. Thing is, I've got a super leather cover for it already that I really like. However, you have given me the idea of cannibalizing a two-piece clip of some kind, which I hadn't thought of before. Then just the mount would have to fit the holes in the radio, which sounds rather easier than trying to force a non-standard standalone clip onto it. Thanks for your reply. I appreciate it. -- Bo Williams - http://hiwaay.net/~williams/ |
