Is there a frequency CD or program out there that is compatible with the scanner that will let me quickly download the one system I need and assign it a quick key within say 5 minutes after I get to a certain locale? Any suggestions greatly appreciated. I am a 48-state trucker and need a quick programmer. As it is, I sit and search for systems and punch them in manually - pain in the arse. By the time I get them configured, it's time to leave: ) Go to http://www.radioreference.com/modules.php?name=RR and get all the systems you think you'll need. You can use the free Uniden UASD software that you can download at their site to save the systems to both the scanner and a laptop, from which you can upload any system to the scanner in a few minutes. Even if you program the system by hand, you can save it to disk, so the next time you're there you just upload it to the scanner. BTW, CDs and books are outdated almost before you get them. The RR site is kept up to date by the users. (It would be nice if you contributed something to it if you find it useful. I have nothing to do with the site other than being a user, but I think it's a site worth supporting.) |
