wrote: Maby this isn't the good place to ask, but for my work and a project we're working on, I'm looking for RF receivers (say up to 60MHz) which can be remotely controlled through local network and TCP/IP. The goal being an operator to be able to tune the receivers from his workstation which can be located somewhere else in the building. If anybody knows of such products, I'd be happy to get some pointers, links, informations, etc... Depends on what you need in a receiver. SSB? Ppm stability? Variable bandwidth? Or would a scanner that covers the frequency and receives AM and FM be enough? But any receiver that can be controlled with software can be controlled over your LAN - just install UltraVNC http://ultravnc.sourceforge.net/ on the computer the receiver is connected to, and the UltraVNC client on the computer you want to use for control and you can control it with the software you normally use for controlling that receiver locally. (You'll have to use something else - I use Winamp with the Oddcast plugin and Icecast - to remote the audio.) |
