Im looking to step up from the old pro2006,2048,39,61 & others to a
higher level, first i would like to know if there is any software that
will let the icom 100,1000,1500 or winradio pc scanners receive digital
audio? Or will one of the latest Uniden digitals be a better choice, I
dont know of any digital audio signals around yet but im thinking of
something that will continue to usefull in the future, also to expand
my scanning to some new areas beyond the range of the typical pro or
uniden analog entry level scanners.

Thanks, I guess that answers alot of my questions, now its back to ebay
and the next
hamfest. The only question now is r100,r1000 or the r1500?

If you want to be able to receive APCO-25 Digital signals, none of these
radios will work.

Your right Bill, however no ones using it in my area yet, I was just
looking for something
other than the typical everyday scanner. I guess im running out of
stations to scan with the
old tired pro2006.
