Default Uniden SC-230 scanner question

I lost my two older scanners in Hurricane Katrina and just purchased a
Uniden SC-230.

My old scanners had a MANUAL function -- if I wanted to listen to a certain
frequency, I would do something like:
-- hit MAN button
-- enter the freq
-- hit MAN button
-- scanner would go to that freq and sit on it until told to do something
else.

I have read and re-read the SC-230 manual and there does not seem to be a
way to enter frequencies manually and listen to that one freq.

Can anyone help?

Thanks.
