"Steve" wrote in message ups.com... What HAS happened is that I have disagreed with you and dxAce, neither of whom have presented a single piece of factual evidence to prove anything. Please, go for it: name one single lie! We have no reason to believe anything you say, given that you've already lied about what your name real name is Never. dxAce finds it funny that I have two given names and a maternal and paternal surname (or surname and middle name in Anglo context) I have had all 4 since I was baptised. No lie there... they are even on my driver licence, and the deed to my house. and what positions you've held. Never. I seriously doubt that you've ever worked in radio, let alone that you currently do. The poor and uninformed nature of your arguments in most threads suggests that you are very much an outsider to radio. Very funny. You are more delusional than dxAce, who is simply and obsessive troll. Then why would the NAB have had me address 6 different conventions since 1982? Or the RAB? Or R&R? |

Perhaps because you deceived them about who you are and what positions you've held? Look, your trolling is a minor nuisance, but when you push things too far and get caught, at least have the balls to fess up. You were nailed about as badly as anyone ever has been. To keep denying the obvious just makes you look like some kind of weirdo. |

Having a name? and what positions you've held. Never. You were. Nope. Only in your mind. There was an error in the way my postion was listed by the NAB for the 2004 San Diego convention, and nobody really cared except you and dxAss. I seriously doubt that you've ever worked in radio, let alone that you currently do. Perhaps because you deceived them about who you are and what positions you've held? Oh, sure. I'm going to be on a panel with the programming heads of 5 of the 10 largest broadcasters in the US in front of about 2500 persons who are also broadcasters and nobody is going to know? Look, your trolling is a minor nuisance, but when you push things too far and get caught, at least have the balls to fess up. To what? Having a name? To the NAB making a small mistake? If you wanted to verify, you could. But it is a lot more fun to have someone to attack because you disagree with them, and ad hominems are a lot easier to launch than a factual approach. |

You're too old for this nonsense, whoever you are. I seriously doubt that you've ever worked in radio, let alone that you currently do. I'm sure a lot of those people didn't know who you were. What should they do in that case? Call the police? Look, your trolling is a minor nuisance, but when you push things too far and get caught, at least have the balls to fess up. To what? Having a name? To the NAB making a small mistake? Having a name is fine. It's lying about your name that's not cool. If you wanted to verify, you could. But it is a lot more fun to have someone to attack because you disagree with them, and ad hominems are a lot easier to launch than a factual approach. Apparently it's a lot more fun to go 'fibbing' on the internet and lying about your true identify. Though I must say, it's hard for me to see the fun in it, especially for an adult man. |

You're too old for this nonsense, whoever you are. It is ridiculous that you don't recognize it for what it is, a simple mistake. I can point out spelling errors and mistakes in nearly every NAB program... when they do a convention for tens of thousands of people, there will be a coupple of gaffs. Oh, sure. I'm going to be on a panel with the programming heads of 5 of the 10 largest broadcasters in the US in front of about 2500 persons who are also broadcasters and nobody is going to know? I'm sure a lot of those people didn't know who you were. Most of them did. They read Inside Radio, they read Radio Ink (#2 Major Market PD of the Year a few years back in their industry poll) and RBR and R&R and so on. Tell you what: Call Tom Tyler, editor of Inside Radio, and ask him. Or call Owen Charlebois, President of Arbitron. Or Mark Mays or Randall Mays of Clear Channel. Ask any of them. Go ahead. Look, your trolling is a minor nuisance, but when you push things too far and get caught, at least have the balls to fess up. To what? Having a name? To the NAB making a small mistake? Having a name is fine. It's lying about your name that's not cool. Never did. I use several variants, with and without middle name and second given name, as do most people. William Ferdinad Barkley, III is Bill to friends, William F. Barkley on his busines card, and the full thing on legal papers. All depends on the venue. Same name, differnt extensions. Yet you could verify this all... I even gave you names... but you won't. It is more fun to be in denial, and use your lies to try to invalidate the point that HD is here, like it or not. |

All I can say is, you must have a thick skin to stand up and humiliate yourself like this in front of the readers of this group. Oh, sure. Tell you what: Call Tom Tyler, editor of Inside Radio, and ask him. Or call Owen Charlebois, President of Arbitron. Or Mark Mays or Randall Mays of Clear Channel. Ask any of them. Go ahead. The question is, if I didn't call a few people whom you have hand picked, what would they say? Don't treat me like a fool. This is the oldest, most transparent trick in the book. It's far, far too late for you to attempt to implement this kind of damage control. You've been caught too many times for this to work. It's like putting a bandaid on decapitation. |

All I can say is, you must have a thick skin to stand up and humiliate yourself like this in front of the readers of this group. Actually, I enjoy making you look foolish. You did not, of course, dare to actually check the data. This is, perversely perhaps, a major entertainment. I'm sure a lot of those people didn't know who you were. Most of them did. They read Inside Radio, they read Radio Ink (#2 Major Market PD of the Year a few years back in their industry poll) and RBR and R&R and so on. Uh huh....so you say.... http://www.radioink.com/listingsEntr...68995&PT=blank for a reference in Radio Ink. http://www.davidgleason.com/1998_Radio_Ink.htm for the Radio Ink award. http://www.davidgleason.com/1970-1972-E.htm has multiple pictures of me going back to when I was a GM for Mooney Broadcasting (WKGN, WMAK, WBSR, etc.) Tell you what: Call Tom Tyler, editor of Inside Radio, and ask him. The President of Arbitron? The COO and CFO of Clear Channel? Those are about the biggest figures in our insutry, and not known for lying. Never did. I use several variants, with and without middle name and second given name, as do most people. William Ferdinad Barkley, III is Bill to friends, William F. You post with your first name. Same thing. I sign my checks with my full name. You probably do, too.. Nothing is being hidden, and anyone who bothers can find ot every and all of them. Yet you could verify this all... I even gave you names... but you won't. It is more fun to be in denial, and use your lies to try to invalidate the point that HD is here, like it or not. You are simply triying to discredit an industry voice of reason and logic on the HD issue. Who cares if I use my middle name or not all of the time. Is George Bush a different person from George W. Bush or G.W. Bush? I think not. |

R&R means Rest and Relaxation.I had three choices,Hong Kong or Danang or
Tokio.Since I had already had an eight hour layover in Tokio and saw some of the sights of beautifull down town Tokio (a lot of construction was going on in the Ginza area and many places in Tokio,I saw it with my own beady little eyeballs, they was getting ready for the 1964 Olympics, big mounds of dirt was piled up along that street in the Ginza, new Subway additions, lots of rebuilding all over Tokio) and since our Pan Am Blueball stopped over in Hong Kong for only half and hour and we were told to stay on the Blueball and since I prefered to do my R&R in a Country other than Vietnam,I chose Hong Kong for my five days R&R. cuhulin |
