Harder was on today (wed 18) live and for the full two hours. He
sounded ok to me. He had three guests on:
(1) Richard M. who discussed his book "How the Left Was Won" A book
analysing Liberalism and its tactics,
(2) Stanton Friedman, who discussed a recent UFO conference, and
(3) Lee Boyland(sp) who discussed his book "The Rings of Allah" , a
description of the Moslem nuclear bombs and the clash of civilizations.
The programs were interesting and the guests were given lots of time
to present their message.
The reports of Chuck's imminent demise are more wishful thinking than
real. Anyway, If one should not speak ill of the dead, should he
slander the near-dead? You can hear him on
http://talkstarradio.com/hosts/chuckpage.htm m-f 2.00-4.00 eastern
time.

I don't wish anybody dead here.
Best for Chuck Harder to simply retire, and let someone else who shares
his "anti-" politics (Jonathan Emord? Alex Jones? Jeff Rense? Art Bell?
Lou Dobbs? Pat Buchanan?) take over.
No, ve3, Chuck Harder is most definitely NOT "ok." If he were, why
would KCAA AM 1050 (Loma Linda, CA) drop him from their daily lineup?
Why would Good Politics Radio discontinue his podcasts?
Check both Web sites out and you'll see.
The only AM radio station in the U.S. who carries Chuck Harder is, as
far as I can tell, WPGS AM 840 in Titusville, FL. WWCR shortwave
(Nashville) carries him too.
That's it. Two affiliates, down from 350 in 1995 - a plunge of 99.4
percent in 11 years.
Next month, Chuck will be 63 - well beyond the point where he can
collect Social Security benefits (62.5) or private 401-k pensions
(59.5).
When Chuck does the right thing and retires, I'll shut up.

I realize I've said some pretty terrible things about Chuck Harder - on
this blog and some other media outlets - and I'm sorry.
(This is sincere; you have to believe me.)
As strange as it may seem for me to say this, it wouldn't bother me one
bit if Harder retired and another radio talk show host just like him
took over. As much as I despise right-wing (or left-wing) anti-Bush
politics, that isn't the real reason I hate Chuck Harder so much.
There are other reasons, which I will not divulge because this is a
public Web site.
Rest assured, however, that I AM NOT in any kind of criminal (or civil)
trouble. My record is squeaky-clean, save for a few traffic tickets 15
years ago and some overdue bills that have long since been paid off.
That said, my reasons for hating Chuck Harder are real. I would not
just spontaneously start loathing the guy, because I am not a
provocateur; instead, I tend to react.
Yes, I've sent correspondence to Chuck Harder-style political groups
(the John Birch Society, the old Liberty Lobby, Paul Craig Roberts, Pat
Buchanan, Bo Gritz, various and sundry right-wing Bush bashers, and so
on). They may write me back once, tell me to go away, and that's that.
But I don't hate these guys.

What is wrong with Chuck Harder, cuhulin, is that he's stil on the air
- when he isn't in the hospital.
In the last two weeks, he's been off the air except for perhaps last
Monday and Tuesday. On Wednesday, they played his "We'll help you
survive ... " intro theme song three times, followed by several seconds
of "dead air." Then they cut to a previous "For The People" program.
Didn't you hear that? Or am I just imagining it?
Thursday and Friday, they played more Chuck Harder reruns.
cuhulin, this is getting ridiculous, in my opinion. Chuck Harder IS TOO
DAMN SICK to do a daily radio program. You know it. His bosses know it.
I know it. Everyone knows it except Chuck Harder!
It is way, way, WAY past time for Chuck Harder to retire. OK, I'll
grant you that he's helped a lot of folks in the past. But the key word
there is "past." The bloke weighs 400 pounds and is almost 63 years
old. Go to his Web site and see.

When Chuck Harder retires, and I can finally get some "peace and
quiet," I'll "get a life."
