Uh - oh ... have you been reading my mind?

Several things I've noticed about Chuck Harder ...

1) In the last year or so, Harder's speech on the air has been
alternately slow and slurred, like he's drunk. He sounds confused, and
asks the same questions over and over again. He can't remember basic
facts, like names, dates, and the big news events of the past 40 years
or so.

2) Harder constantly mentions crack cocaine during his conversations
with his guests, even if it's totally out of context. I've known - and
do know - folks on meth, Oxy-Contin, and Fenatyl who behave exactly the
same way. They condemn crack addicts, sometimes in racial terms, but
think it's all right to be strung out on their stuff.

3) Harder continually complains about the tactics of law enforcement,
especially the number of people in the U.S. who are in prison; he
mentions friends of his who were busted for a couple ounces of pot or a
few pills - while rich folks like Rush Limbaugh get away with "doctor
shopping."

4) It's interesting that Harder does not take calls from listeners
anymore; he hasn't done so for almost two years. Is it possible that
he's too "zonked out" for whatever reason to handle the hurly-burly of
your average two-way conversation?

5) Re Rush Limbaugh's "doctor shopper" scandal in late 2003: right
after that happened, Chuck Harder's affiliate station count plummeted,
and by New Year's Day 2005, his network, Liberty Broadcasting, had gone
out of business. Is it possible that "For The People" stations knew
something weird about Harder and did not want a Limbaugh-style
embarrassment - for the same reasons?

6) Harder has always steadfastly condemned drug testing, especially
mandatory drug testing; instead of using the libertarian argument about
excessive government intrusion, Harder opposes drug testing on a sort
of George Orwellian basis. He repeatedly said he would never, never,
never submit to a drug test. WHY?

I am not accusing Chuck Harder of anything here; these may all be
benign and mean nothing at all. But they are all more than a bit
suspicious, don't you think?
In the words of Fox News Channel (the only TV channel besides VOD
movies and the Three Stooges I watch consistently), "we report, you
decide." Another quote, from Bruce Willis in "Armaggeddon": "Make the
call."
Have fun ...

One more thought ... I realize the gravity of the accusation that Chuck
Harder is a drug addict. I am NOT accusing him of being so. For if it
came out that Chuck Harder is on drugs, then EVERYTHING he says, and
has said, on the radio ... from "I've Got Mine!" to his anti-Bill
Clinton behavior to his anti-Dubya rhetoric to - going all the way back
to 1990 or so - his harangues against GHWB ... is a gigantic lie, a
drug-induced delusion.
It's the same as saying that Pat Buchanan is gay.
Which, of course, is not true. But if it were, Buchanan's
political/pundit career would be ruined, and he'd probably be reduced
to selling double vodka-tonics and 22-oz. beers at some bar on M Street
in Georgetown in D.C.
Such is the very thin reed that the contemporary nationalist platform
is built on.

Forgive me for intruding ... I'm the "rabid" anti-Chuck Harder blogger
on this site ... but have you noticed something very strange about
Chuck Harder this week?
Perhaps I'm imagining it, but on Tuesday and Wednesday, I swear I heard
Ed Shiflett, who's the main tech guy at TalkStar, co-host "For The
People" on the second hour of the show.
Indeed, he did more than just co-host; he led the program discussion,
doing all the intros, bridges, and so forth. Chuck just sat by with an
occasional comment or two.
Is it possible that Chuck Harder is retiring, and letting Ed Shiflett
take over?
I don't know too much about Shiflett, but he seems a tad more moderate
than Harder, which is definitely a good thing.
To me, it would make sense for Chuck Harder to hang up his mike; you
have to admit that he sounds really terrible on the air - and I don't
mean his politics, which are bad enough. I mean his health.
Or is all this just me? Am I instead condemned to 15 more years of
Chuck Harder and his venomous "anti-" claptrap?

Believe it or not, cuhulin, I'm not going to excoriate you or Chuck
Harder here.
Because I think (hope?) that Harder is hanging up his microphone -
finally!
Issues aside, let's recount Harder's take on three crucial topics: 1)
he is vehemently anti-Bush; 2) he is convinced that the end of the
world is coming; and 3) he believes that 2) is the direct result of the
machinations of 1) - (in Hugo Chavez's words) "el Diablo."
Any one of these three positions is a definite show-stopper in talk
radio these days. But Harder has all three!
No wonder you want to talk about Jackson, MS mayor Frank Melton. Don't
know the guy; never heard of him; I like my mayor, Shirley Franklin,
who last year presided over the lowest homicide rate in Atlanta - 90 -
since 1963. If my history serves, I think that was the year Harder
moved from Chicago down to Tampa, FL.
Back to Harder: I've noticed he's been saying things (paraphrased)
like, "Hey, people don't like me because I tell it like it is," or "You
know, I am not well liked by such-and-such these days." I admire his
candor. People like me do dislike him intensely. Why? Because -
ironically - he is so un-American.
Most Americans are not apocalyptic.
Most Americans do not think "Dubya" is the devil. They know they can
support him or go to someone else.
Most Americans do not believe that Uncle Sam is plotting the
destruction of the U.S. of A. Some voters might believe this or that
specific conspiracy theory (JFK, energy prices, Ritalyn, etc.) - but
they do not buy into the overarching "New World Order" global plotline
pushed by Harder and his myrmidons.
Europeans and Muslims may be more attuned to these ideas, but that's
just the way they are. I don't live in France or Germany or Iraq or
Iran or Jordan or Egypt, so this really doesn't bother me.
So when will Harder retire or go on to something else? Can't say. But
his last day on the air is one day closer than yesterday. Heard Ed
Shiflett a couple weeks ago on "For The People," and I must say, that
bloke sounded real good - a natural. Could he be Harder's replacement?
We'll see ...

I am amused that for someone who detests Harder so much, you spend so
much time listening to him. I listen to him ocasionally and have found
many of his guests to be well-informed. I also get the impression that
he is quite patriotic. However, I do not have enough listening time to

As a Canadian, I scrupulously avoid any comments on US politics (a)
because it is none of my business, and (b) I am uninformed. Also,
under the new anti-terrorism bills passed this week that have shredded
the Constitution ( rather like Hitler's Enabling Acts of 1933)...oops,
did I say that?, a secret ops hit team could come in to Canada, kidnap
a designated citizen, sprit him across the border to a US jail where he
could be held incommunicado for years or sent to a CIA-designated
torture center in a foreign land. Read the legislation: it's in there.
And it has been done already.
If "deliberately emasculating the US" could apply to the economic
status of the US, who was in charge when the US national debt rocketed
up in the trillions and the foreign trade deficit approached 700
billion a year and the value of the US dollar dropped 35%? Just asking.
As far as class structure is concerned, the middle class is
declining, workers' wages are stagnant, and the wealthy are making out
like bandits. I wouldn't say Bush hates the middle class though: I just
think he doesn't give a damn.
Considering the slander, name calling, and take-no-prisoners
attitude that passes for debate in the US these days, I think that
avoiding US politics is a good idea particularly since I don't have a
dog in this fight and I should go do something else until mid-November.

You sound intelligent, ve3, but your pathological anti-Bush attitude
("he doesn't give a damn," etc.) belies your veneer of intellectual

Please read (and comment on) ve3's thoughtful reply to your post. The

Worker's wages are NOT "stagnant", they are DECLINING. The U.S. Census

Household Income" has -decreased- since the year 2000.

That reminds me of the old slogan of the 30's "Come visit us before we
come visit you." My greatest concern is that plans for a North American
Alliance being developed in secret by the elite will get to the point
where Canada, the US, and Mexico will be combined a la European Union.
I think that a foreigner would be nuts to visit the US with these new

My opinion about George Bush is based on the economic performance of

Mexicans across the southern border. It has nothing to do with Harder.
I understand that millions of patriotic Americans support the Democrats

That reminds me of the old slogan of the 30's "Come visit us before we
come visit you." My greatest concern is that plans for a North American
Alliance being developed in secret by the elite will get to the point
where Canada, the US, and Mexico will be combined a la European Union.
I think that a foreigner would be nuts to visit the US with these new
laws in place. One mistake and he could find himself on a rack in
Moldavia. So don't alarm yourseld: I ain't coming, although I wonder at
your Royal "we" ...does the State Department know about this? Or does
"we" mean that you have a tapeworm? Which outfit are you speaking for?
My opinion about George Bush is based on the economic performance of
the last six years, the invasion of Iraq, and the mass invasion of
Mexicans across the southern border. It has nothing to do with Harder.
I understand that millions of patriotic Americans support the Democrats
and have a similar opinion to mine.

ve3,
Don't try and argue with the "moralist assholes". They have Mark
Foley now as their posterboy, a perderast, child molester, internet
porn star, and a REPUBLICAN. I respect Canadians and will probably be
joining you when I retire and get the hell out of the 4th Reich,
otherwise known as the USA!

ve3,I wasen't specifically refering to you in particular about what the
Bell South woman said. But she is right. She cusses so much, almost every
other word she says is a cuss word.(Don't cuss, call Gus and he will cuss
for all of us) She is really very nice though. She is a tomboy Country
girl. She showed me a couple of photos on her cell phone of where she
lives at Old River near Natchez. It is just like some of those places we
sometimes see in some movies.

Believe it or not, cuhulin, I'm not going to excoriate you or Chuck
Harder here.

One more thing, cuhulin ...
What, as a Bush supporter, am I supposed to do when I hear Chuck Harder
refer to the guy I voted for - twice - as a "dictator," a "fascist,"
someone who "deliberately" emasculated the U.S., someone who "loves
illegals but hates the middle class"?
Huh?
What am I supposed to do, sir?
Do you have any answers or comments?
If so, it would really help if you could post them here.
I'd really appreciate it.

Man, If you're still listening to Harder, you have only yourself to blame.
I turned off that nut-case years ago.

I am amused that for someone who detests Harder so much, you spend so
much time listening to him. I listen to him ocasionally and have found
many of his guests to be well-informed. I also get the impression that
he is quite patriotic. However, I do not have enough listening time to
go further than that.

Sigh ... there you go again, spouting conspiracy theories.
This whole SPP brohaha is just so much "michigoss" (Yiddish for
"crap"), so much so that the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) has condemned
folks like Chuck Harder for spreading lies about SPP.
There is NO plan to create a "North American Union"; there is NO plan
to eliminate the U.S. dollar and replace it with the "Amero."

"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" """"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""
I realize that the controlled press in the US makes no mention of the
NAU or the Bilderburgers or the CFR , but they have had meetings in
Toronto, Ottawa, and Banff that have been well covered in the Canadian
press. The recent one in Ottawa featured shouting matches between US
and European members about the US plan to invade Iran. I must tell them
at their next meeting in Canada that they do not exist. Are you a paid
agent of the ADL or the Southern Poverty Law Center tasked with
harassing Chuck Harder? Why else would you spend so much time listening
to someone you detest? Why would you revive this old thread? It was
interesting to fid out, however, that the ADL is against free speech..
And why do you ignore the facts and ideas I put forward in previus post
in favour of some new straw man?

It's obvious ... you, sir, are an anti-Semite.
You hate Jews.
You hate Israel.
And you probably hate me because a) I'm Jewish; and b) I speak out when
I hear anti-Semites.
I do not "ignore the facts"; if you carefully read my posts, I do not
disagree with you that the U.S. has serious economic issues that need
to be addressed -- like income distribution, trade, the loss of
manufacturing jobs (the NYC area, home to about 2 million Jews, has
lost about 1 million factory jobs since 1979), immigration, and so
forth.
You mentioned the "controlled press." Who "controls" the press, ve3?
The Jews? Obviously you think so, with your anti-ADL rants.
Wow ... this whole anti-Semitic "Jews control the world" claptrap is
truly amazing. As horrible and barbaric as the classical racist
paradigm was, it at least had an identifiable pedigree -- they just
didn't look like the rest of us! So they must be different - and
inferior! That is of course a vicious lie, but a lie that led to much
misery, violence and death in the U.S. in the last 200 years or so.
But look at anti-Semitism. That has led to even more violence, misery
and death -- culminating in the Holocaust.
Oh ... you probably believe the Holocaust didn't happen. Those crafty
devil Jews ... how clever ... they faked the whole thing! Amazing!!
As much as I know about anti-Semitism, I still do not -- after about 40
years of studying it -- do not know why it even exists. It should not
exist. By every logical, physical, and metaphysical argument, it should
have died out about 2,000 years ago. Yet it goes on and on and on.
Oh, and finally, I am NOT a "paid agent" of the ADL, the SPLC, of
anybody. That is a totally asinine assertion.
One more thing: The ADL and the SPLC are not "against free speech."
They have never, never, never tried to muzzle freedom of expression.
They are center-left organizations, to be sure, and have even teamed
with the "dreaded" ACLU in free-speech cases.
I think I have "vented my spleen" enough here ...

You must be nuts to think that you can engage in name-calling and
slander and think that anyone will discuss with you. One disagreement
and it's pull out the old anti-semite card and see who salutes. Well, I
don't play that game and I kill-file those that do. You don't answer
previous posts, you introduce new topics unrelated to the discussion,
and you slander. Debating with you is like mud-wrestling with a pig.
You get dirty, there's all kinds of **** flying around, and at the end
of it all you're left with is ten new turds to deal with. Did it ever
occur to you in your 40 years of anti-semite searches that maybe its

Hey Mr. Scatology,

Your "beau brummel" Chuck Harder was off the air all last week
(10/9/2006 - 10/13/2006), and was on only for a half-hour yesterday
(10/16/2006).
Face it: Chuck Harder is sick. He's dying.
Truth hurts, doesn't it?

Harder was on today (wed 18) live and for the full two hours. He
sounded ok to me. He had three guests on:
(1) Richard M. who discussed his book "How the Left Was Won" A book
analysing Liberalism and its tactics,
(2) Stanton Friedman, who discussed a recent UFO conference, and
(3) Lee Boyland(sp) who discussed his book "The Rings of Allah" , a
description of the Moslem nuclear bombs and the clash of civilizations.
The programs were interesting and the guests were given lots of time
to present their message.
The reports of Chuck's imminent demise are more wishful thinking than
real. Anyway, If one should not speak ill of the dead, should he
slander the near-dead? You can hear him on

I don't wish anybody dead here.
Best for Chuck Harder to simply retire, and let someone else who shares
his "anti-" politics (Jonathan Emord? Alex Jones? Jeff Rense? Art Bell?
Lou Dobbs? Pat Buchanan?) take over.
No, ve3, Chuck Harder is most definitely NOT "ok." If he were, why
would KCAA AM 1050 (Loma Linda, CA) drop him from their daily lineup?
Why would Good Politics Radio discontinue his podcasts?
Check both Web sites out and you'll see.
The only AM radio station in the U.S. who carries Chuck Harder is, as
far as I can tell, WPGS AM 840 in Titusville, FL. WWCR shortwave
(Nashville) carries him too.
That's it. Two affiliates, down from 350 in 1995 - a plunge of 99.4
percent in 11 years.
Next month, Chuck will be 63 - well beyond the point where he can
collect Social Security benefits (62.5) or private 401-k pensions
(59.5).
When Chuck does the right thing and retires, I'll shut up.

I realize I've said some pretty terrible things about Chuck Harder - on
this blog and some other media outlets - and I'm sorry.
(This is sincere; you have to believe me.)
As strange as it may seem for me to say this, it wouldn't bother me one
bit if Harder retired and another radio talk show host just like him
took over. As much as I despise right-wing (or left-wing) anti-Bush
politics, that isn't the real reason I hate Chuck Harder so much.
There are other reasons, which I will not divulge because this is a
public Web site.
Rest assured, however, that I AM NOT in any kind of criminal (or civil)
trouble. My record is squeaky-clean, save for a few traffic tickets 15
years ago and some overdue bills that have long since been paid off.
That said, my reasons for hating Chuck Harder are real. I would not
just spontaneously start loathing the guy, because I am not a
provocateur; instead, I tend to react.
Yes, I've sent correspondence to Chuck Harder-style political groups
(the John Birch Society, the old Liberty Lobby, Paul Craig Roberts, Pat
Buchanan, Bo Gritz, various and sundry right-wing Bush bashers, and so
on). They may write me back once, tell me to go away, and that's that.
But I don't hate these guys.

What is wrong with Chuck Harder, cuhulin, is that he's stil on the air
- when he isn't in the hospital.
In the last two weeks, he's been off the air except for perhaps last
Monday and Tuesday. On Wednesday, they played his "We'll help you
survive ... " intro theme song three times, followed by several seconds
of "dead air." Then they cut to a previous "For The People" program.
Didn't you hear that? Or am I just imagining it?
Thursday and Friday, they played more Chuck Harder reruns.
cuhulin, this is getting ridiculous, in my opinion. Chuck Harder IS TOO
DAMN SICK to do a daily radio program. You know it. His bosses know it.
I know it. Everyone knows it except Chuck Harder!
It is way, way, WAY past time for Chuck Harder to retire. OK, I'll
grant you that he's helped a lot of folks in the past. But the key word
there is "past." The bloke weighs 400 pounds and is almost 63 years
old. Go to his Web site and see.
