Default camping out on WWVA doorstep a bad idea?

Lets go folks I need an answer PLEASE. I am leaving route I take in
your hands. My W1FE just asked me which way I was going and I told her
I would check with the group.

I grew up in Wheeling. You could pretty much get WWVA by clipping your
headphones to your bedsprings in those days!

Seriously, I had several little crystal sets, and WWVA was all you could
get. Every other local was drowned out.

I used to be able to get them every night where I live now in Florida, but I
haven't heard them in years. They must have changed their antenna pattern
or something.

Mike
