Free software will be issued by the University of Toronto next month to
enable home computers to bypass censorship walls put in place by repressive governments and to make the computer invisible to monitors. This would be of interest to anyone with email contacts in any of these countries. This includes the US and Canada. The software is very sophisticated and the implementation uses nodes and trusted gatekeepers. The program is discussed in the Nov 13 issue of Macleans "Citizen hacktivist:." p.129/130. For further details go to http://psiphon.civisec.org and Although I couldn't find the article online, there is another article that might be of interest in the National Affairs section: " They Really, Really like Us." It contains surveys of world opinion including the US. Scroll down National Affairs and click "MORE" and look for the survey. http://www.Macleans.ca |
