Brian Denley http://home.comcast.net/~b.denley/index.html "john" wrote in message roups.com... hi, i have the opportunity to purchase a drake r8 or r8a. the r8a is about $100.00 more. is the difference between the two worth the $100.00?? right now i am using a palstar r30CC, nice radio will i see abig difference in performance with either the r8 or r8A. thanks in advance, john Personally, I wouldn't bother with either. I'd save some more and get an R8B. I have an R8, and it's an average performer at best. The sync is useless, and the "no you can't use the preamp on MW" is constantly annoying. My Satellit 800 routinely outperforms it. Mike |
