Nothing compares to radio. It's truly magical.

Darn right! Internet "radio" doesn't do it for me... been fascinated with
the voice from far-off lands since I was a kid. (when you could still find
tube radios that people were throwing out!)

Internet streaming audio and video have their place but that place is
not supplanting radio.

Right on!

I agree. I love radio, especially HF Shortwave. I dont think I could ever
get trired of it. Some people try to say SW is dead, on it's way out, "it
aint what it used to be" etc. But, I can always find something to listen
to. I also love all the imperfections of listening. All the noise, hash and
pops, are music to my ears. Everything else we do now is all polished up,
DVD Video, CD quality audio, high definition, sat radio and on an on.
Shortwave signals are just plucked right of of thin air. That's the part I
love the most.

You nailed it for me too. Good job. It's hard to find something more
exotic than what I hear on short wave.

They could be talking politics or horror movies. I love listening to
radio. Will it last? There's nothing like a good radio and all the
entertainment available on the airwaves.Hopefully, nighttime AM DXing will be around for a while (atleast, it

looks that way in Canada), if HD Radio/IBOC is not approved for
nighttime (HD Radio will fail, anyway). Sometimes, I also listen to
Internet Radio,
