TIA Are you trying to pick up NPR in Honolulu??? can you hear the station on your car FM radio??.............GC I can hear NPR from my junk bedside radio (emerson) that I have now but I can't dial it in perfectly. So I just thought if I could get a great radio with all the elements I want, it would be better. I do have a Sangean in another place and it seems to work fairly well although it sometimes fades on the Honolulu FM stations. Besides, a shortwave sounds like lots of fun. aloha, beans beansatsmithfarms.com farmers of pure kona roast beans to kona to email You might consider an FM only beam antenna to reduce signal fades along with a new radio...... I lived on Maui , 1984-1986 and I did alot of BCBDX along with SWDX.. It's surprising to hear Australlia, NewZealand Japan on BCB........Since you live on a farm, you have lot's of room for long wire antennas ..............It's sad that Radio Tahaiti and Radio Cook islands are gone but cruse through 3.2-3.3 mhz for Paupa New Guinea ........GC |
