Can the Midland LXT300 be used with a repeater if so what channels
should I set it to to use a repeater? thx in advance |

NO

I think he wanted to use the LXT300 to communicate through someone else's repeater, not to make his own repeater. From a strictly technical standpoint, you probably *could* use *two* LXT300s to make a repeater. You'd also need a duplexer and some control circuitry. And I doubt the FCC would license it. I don't know the power limits for repeaters in the GMRS service - seems to me it's probably quite a bit higher than one watt, so the two-LXT300s trick would make a pretty wimpy repeater! -- Doug Smith W9WI Pleasant View (Nashville), TN EM66 http://www.w9wi.com |
