A little while ago I visited The Shortwave Shop's website (http://www.shortwave.co.uk) only to find that they're now under new management. Most of their old website is gone, and there's a link saying "To order a Wellbrook loop, click here" or something to that effect. The link is an email link. I don't think I like this new turn of events. Anyone know what the story is? Steve Steve, I was in the shop a couple of weeks ago buying an ICOM 703 - they are very much in business - nice guy too. I asked him about the website and he said that it was on the list of 'things to do'. Their most important task, he told me, was to set a computerised inventory system as the previous owner did it all by paper. I got the impression that the two guys now running the business knew the previous owner who has now retired. If you are looking for anything in particular just give them a ring, I found them really helpful and friendly. Charlie. -- www.wymsey.co.uk |
