Yes . . . take your radio outside, truck it around in the yard, find the best reception area, put up an antenna there. then put in a nice shielded co-ax into your house, shielding the whole thing. Duct tape is actually a fairly good shield, BTW . .. I convinced my better half of that some months ago.
