Picking out a correct antenna for a Sony World Band ReceiverICF-SW7600GR.

On lower frequencies, it is a great performer, but above 15 MHz, an external longwire can beat it easily... I have both and use the antenna that gives the better performance on a given situation. Loops are *almost* entirely omnidirectional. Only on a small angle, when you look directly into the 'hole', the reception is minimal, to zero. This feature you can use to 'null-out' interference.
