Default Imus is Toast

During the day I was able to watch some of the meeting at Rutgers, the
wall-to-wall coverage on MSNBC, and the NBC evening news. Newspeople
and papparatzi were as thick as flies at Rutgers, the New Jersey
governor was there to show his support, the girls of the basketball
team and school officials gave heart-rending accounts of hurt and
support. The meeting of the girls and Imus was private
Meanwhile, some of the advertisers on Imus show have cancelled,
Sharpton is ramping up his boycott of advertisers, politicians who
appear on Imus, and radio stations on the WFAN system. In the
midwest, Jesse Jackson is mustering his troops and already has had a
parade. The NOW ladies have entered the fray.
Imus himself, beetled his eyebrows in a menacing way and said, "If
I get fired, there will be consequences." There will be lawyers and
lawsuits.
Is the media drumming up public support to fire Imus?
Since he will be presiding over a fund-raiser on thursday and
friday, tomorrow may be the last time to see the regular Imus show. It
will be worth watching.
My guess is that his two-week suspension will include his
resignation with agreed terms.
Leno last night twisted the knife a bit saying, " Imus still
doesn't get it. When he heard about his two-week suspension, he said
"That's mighty white of them." "
A man out of his time.

Sharpton is a total idiot and no one, either black, white, green or
blue should listen to him! BTW, watch the video, someone before the
old man said something that started him going!

Sharpton is the racist: the Tewanna Brawley affair, the Crown Heights
killing of the Orthodox Jewish student by black thugs, the killings at
the Freddie's Mart, people are calling for Imus' head, they should be
calling for Sharpton's! This is so made up, Imus is an old man who
has lousy ratings, but if he is to go, then let it be the audience and
the ratings that kill him off. I have seen the team, and in my
opinion, they do not need "counseling" for this, they need to move on
in life and realize that there will be more things out there that are
dangerous to them other than the rantings of an old talk show host.

The main points are that:
- sure, it was a ****ty thing to say
But:
Imus does good work out at his Ranch ( Imus ranch for Kids with
Cancer)

- It's also a slow news cycle; I believe he'll offer something to The
Rutgers Team;

- and in 6 months, it'll be mostly forgotten.

If he sues, he'll go after the very deep pockets of MSNBC . . .

will settle for 7 figures..

and will then be hired by another station . . .

He can't lose...

cutting Imus some slack . .

Absolutely,Leno is an IDIOT! I remember watching him on Letterman's

there eating a double cheese whopper hamburger and he was telling condom
jokes, evey other word out of his Stupid IDIOT mouth was condom
this,condom that,and on and on.
I don't like to watch those kinds of Stupid IDIOTIC programs on my tv
