In the 30's Hitler was making nice-nice with Persia in order to secure
oil supplies from the region. He planned a pincers attack from the
north through Stalingrad and from the south through Egypt. To show
solidarity, Persia changed it's name to Iran which was as close as
their language could come to Aryan. To make a long story short, Hitler
was foiled at El Alemain and Stalingrad.
His war machine ground to a halt at the Battle of the Bulge when
the panzers ran out of fuel.
The point is that Nazi-Iran links go back a long way.
