From: "http://www.radiointel.com/review-etone5.htm", Jay writes, "the E5
has some serious competition, even right in Eton's own lineup. For example, the S350DL has just been reduced to $100 retail. The S-350 DL is more sensitive than the E5 I have an S350 DL and find it pretty much useless for DX even on the AM band. I just use it for local stations. Is the S350 really more sensitive as he states because if it is then the E5 or Degen 1103, must not be that sensitive, at least not without an outside antenna connected. I want something that is sensitive off the whip as well as good for AM DXing without an external antenna connected. No tie downs to external wiring just "portable". The E 10's are available locally and on sale, $89. Are these as good or close to the E 5 with the features I'm looking for or should I look to a higher price bracket? wrote in message oups.com... The E 5 looks like it's got all that I could use but not having a chance to try it outside the store, how well does it really work? Any problems with it? I look forward to your expert commentary and thanks. http://www.radiointel.com/review-etone5.htm http://www.radiointel.com/review-degende1103.htm |
