Although Canada is a top five user of marijuana, its use among high
school students in Ontario declined 19 percent between 2003 and 2005.
Cannabis use amongst 12th graders in the U.S. declined 18 percent
between 1997 and 2006, and is 38 percent lower than it was at its peak
in 1979, the report said.

Cocaine Use Twice as High for U.S. Students

Canada may have cornered the North American market on marijuana use, but
U.S. teens are twice as likely to use cocaine as teens in the rest of
the world, according to the report.

About 4.8 percent of U.S. 10th graders have used cocaine compared to an
average of 2.35 percent of 15 and 16-year-olds in South America
countries and an average of 2.4 percent of similarly aged students in
European nations.

Normally, I'm not one to point out errors in spelling or syntax, but
seeing as you regularly impugn the intelligence of others here and imply
that they are dumb, I would respectfully suggest that you put your own
house in order.

Oh, by the way, let me save you the trouble...

talking Americans in the hotel room next to him kept him awake till
about 2:00 AM in the morning.

Many years ago, I was on an internal UK flight, sitting right up at the
front of the plane. A guy sat down next to me but, of course, being
British, we only exchanged the most cursory of initial acknowledgements,
and didn't speak again.

However, well into the flight, he suddenly turned to me, and said "It's
true what they say".

Taken somewhat aback, I said "Sorry? I'm not quite with you".

"You normally hear them before you see them", he replied.

He was, of course, referring to a particularly loud American gentleman,
who must have been about 15 rows back, talking so loudly that he was
probably heard 30,000 feet below, on the ground.

We didn't speak again (of course), but I've never forgotten what he said
to me.

Ian.
