The CCRadioSW has been released. My order was filled this week from
CCrane and tracking shows I will get my radio on Monday. Since the
website still lists July 31 as date it will be in stock, I am assuming
they got their first small batch of radios and can only fill pre-
orders at this time. After getting the radio on Monday, I will review
and post my findings.

I received email from Jackie 16th May advising me that the RP3100
would be basically the same cosmetically and performance wise as the
RP3000 except that the RP3100 will not have the Synchronous Detector.
Jackie also advised that the RP3100 is scheduled to be released in
July
2007 and the RP300 later this year.
I already made a post of this information to the group earlier
together with list of the RP3100 Features.

Thanks for the information. So the 3100 doesn't have synch detection
and it only uses an adjustable bfo for ssb. So far it seems to be a
slightly improved 2100 and I'm not seeing what all the excitement is

I've had a lot of correspondence with "Jackie" at Redsun myself. After
being assured I could get a sample of the RP3000 from them for $89 plus
shipping, and after 6 months of letters telling me "it's still in
engineering/still in prototype/will be out in March/out in April/out in
July" I finally got one that said to get one from CCrane. I DID get a letter
from CCrane offering me a radio for the price promised by Redsun/Jackie, but
they tried to sell me an RP2100. They never got back to me about an RP3000
at all. As far as I'm concerned, for the foreseeable future, it's vaporware.
Would love to have one if it ever materializes. I have a permanent watch on
Liypn's store for one. A competitor (or maybe it's him as well) has ANTENNAS
for the 3000 and 3100, but nobody's got the radios yet.
