Default WSM-AM: Significant revenue from our sky-wave coverage !

On Sep 4, 6:45 pm, IBOCcrock wrote:
Well,

Even though its getting on in the evening, I'm not going to send
everyone to an early sleep with a lengthy dissertation as to why I
feel the way I do on this divisive but important subject. That has
been expressed many times by others more eloquently than I can. I
don't expect at this point to change anyone's mind on the subject;
conversely, I doubt any one will alter my
convictions either. The basic fact for us down here is for the past 82
years we have, and still, derive significant revenue from our sky-wave
coverage area and we are committed to protecting that tradition.

I do look forward to the discourse after September 14th when the
evidence and data is documented. I also look forward to working with
our coalition of broadcasters whether it is to find solutions or seek
damages.

Best regards,

Watt Hairston
WSM-AM, Grand Ole Opry, LLC.

What was that you were saying, Eduardo ?

WSM takes seriously and carefully considers all complaints and
observations concerning interference to its coverage areas including
its 0.5mV, 50% sky wave coverage. May I encourage any complaints and
specific details be directed to where they will
receive careful consideration and appropriate action if warranted. ~

Bob Savage {WYSL-AM 1040 kHz Avon, NY} says he's received support for
his campaign from several big guns in the industry, including WSM (650
Nashville) chief engineer Watt Hairston, and he's asking other
stations in similar situations to his to contact Congress and the NAB
to call for action to save their signals from interference.
